Overview | September Glossybox♡

*Warning* Long post alert!

Well the this time last week I came across a Glossybox post, I'm not sure where, it was on one of my random nosey sprees, and that was it, I was hooked!

I had to have one!
I got one!
And I'm impressed!

I placed my order on Friday, and I've been eager to receive it since, checking my online account, following the tracking link they e-mailed me, everything!
Then guess what, it arrived this morning, but I was faffing around in the bathroom and I missed it! Because I'm worse than an impatient child however, I went out my way to go to the delivery office to pick it up 3 hours later, as instructed by my 'sorry we missed you' card that the postie left me.

For any of you that do not know what Glossybox is, it is a subscription service to which you receive high end miniature, and sometimes even full size beauty products. You choose whether to pay monthly, 3 monthly, 6 monthly, or yearly, and let the boxes come to you.
You fill out a beauty questionnaire, answering questions about preferences, skin and hair shades, etc. so your box can be tailored just for you.
It essentially gives you the chance to try out products that you maybe couldn't afford to try, that you've had your eye on, or even stuff you didn't know existed!
What's not to like?!

I chose the monthly subscription, giving me the freedom to unsubscribe if needed, costing me £10 a month and £3.25 postage, boxes do lower slightly in price depending which subscription you choose though, it's entirely up to you.

You can also earn Glossydots, which are like points that add up for doing certain things, and once you get to 1000 Glossydots, you receive a box for free! Earning Glossydots is easy, fill in surveys, and refer friends, they all tally up!

Here's my September box:
(I apologise for my bad photography, I'm the worst at taking photographs, especially when I'm excited, I took these pictures as I opened the box, kind of a, you view, as I view picture log)

Look how pretty!

The box is designed by Karen Millen.
Karen Millen is a British, women's retailer that specialises in tailoring, coats, and eveningwear.
I really do like the box design, the London skyline, and the paint drips down the edge of the box, so pretty! All the colours tie in together well too, it's like a mixture of grey and duck egg blue I'd say, and it all works nicely together.

I opened the box, and my cat Socks kindly decided to interrupt, a mixture of being a poser, and being a typical cat who is obsessed with boxes:

Inside the box there were 3 cards:

The top card is a £25 off voucher for in store when you spend £150. The date of the voucher was dated between the 12th of September to the 30th of September, and I received my box on the 2nd of October, this however is my own fault. I literally managed to get the September box the day before the cut off date, and to be fair I wouldn't have used it anyway with having a family to cater for, but it is a lovely offer.
The next card is essentially a map of what's in my box, telling me what's what, how much, and tips on how to use the products. A brilliant card.
Finally the last card shows what the next box will be and also includes a spoiler of what will be included in the next box. The next box for everyone will include a full size Nuxe Masque, I must say I can't wait for Octobers box already!

The Products:

Firstly I got a ModelCo More Brows Fibre Gel
Full size

I received this in the light/medium shade, which thanks to the beauty profile questionnaire is perfect for me, as I think the medium/dark would be too dark, even though I have dyed black/blue hair these days. I genuinely can't wait to try this out as I've been looking into eyebrow gels for a while but couldn't decide which, as I have only recently started using brow products.

My second product is the L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil
45ml - Generous sample

If any of you have read one of my previous posts, you will have seen that I have gone hair product crazy lately due to my hair being so damaged due to major hair dye/bleach abuse, so I was very excited to see I had this in my box. It says it cares for, and pampers all hair types, and leaves your hair looking shiny while feeling nourished and supple. I'll definitely be trying this out before I next blow dry my hair!

My third product is from Skin Pep and is actually 3 items. 2 enzyme and acid peeling gels and a dark circle eraser eye cream
Gel-3.5ml. Cream-2ml - Small samples

The 2 peeling gels are exfoliators, and says to leave skin exfoliated, soft and bright. I am intrigued to test these out as it is very expensive for the full product (£89.99) so I would like to see what it has to offer, as it is something I definitely couldn't afford to try on a whim.
The dark circle eraser says it is powerful and uses anti-oxidant ingredients to boost collagen in the under eye area. Again, very intrigued, not as expensive as the peeling gel, but retails at £44.99. I do suffer from dark circles under my eyes, so I'd love to see this work.

My fourth item is the Nails Inc Matt Top Coat Nail Varnish
Full size

I was actually looking at a cheaper alternative to this from Avon the other day, so to receive this in my box, has saved me some money. I can't wait to try this out, and already have plenty of ideas on all the looks I can try with it other than plain matt nails.

My last item is the Origins Anti-Ageing Power Serum
15ml - Half full product size

I'm at that age where I shouldn't particularly have to worry about anti-ageing creams/serums, I'm not quite 25 yet! However, I do actually own the Avon anti-ageing moisturiser, so I wasn't offended.
I have heard brilliant things about Origins so I can't actually wait to try it. Apparently you can see results in 2 weeks, and my sample is 2 weeks worth, so in theory, I will see results just from this sample alone. Well lets see.

Well that's what I received in my September Glossybox, as I said at the start, I am very impressed, I would use all of the products, wouldn't necessarily buy them all due to family and expensive prices, but I'm super excited to try them all, and hey, if I do fall in love with a certain product then it's my birthday at the end of the month, I'm sure I could creep around someone!

Also the total of the contents of my box was over £60, and that's just for the sizes in there, so definitely worth the £13.25 I paid altogether!

If you are interested in looking into Glossybox then their links are here:

Now I made my job much harder than I needed to there by trying to link all the Glossybox websites for the different countries, but if it helps you guys then I don't mind!

I would highly recommend Glossybox, and I am genuinely excited for the October edition in a couple of weeks, go check them out, hey, even try them out for 1 month and see what you think, you get more back than you pay every time anyway!

If you are from the UK and would like to join up then I will leave my personal referral link here. You can sign up through the site, or through my link, either way I do think you should check them out!

I will be reviewing everything eventually after a good test run, but if there is any item in my post that you would like me to review especially then let me know, I will make it my priority.

Do you own a Glossybox subscription? What are your views?
Would you be interested in subscribing to Glossybox after my post?
